Introduction

OctaMED Icon.png OctaMED is famous music tracker software for the Commodore-Amiga computer and Amiga-like platforms such as the A600GS and A1200NG.


In February 2015 A-EON Technology Ltd acquired the rights to OctaMED for Amiga and Amiga-like next generation systems from RBF Software.[1]

The latest version 8 is the present day continuation from the original author Teijo Kinnunen. This new version is developed by AmigaKit Ltd on behalf of A-EON Technology Ltd.

Releases

OctaMED SoundStudio v1.03c was released in 1996. The internal version for this was version 7.

OctaMED v8.1 was developed in 2024 as a continuation of the original source code. This version is distributed on the A600GS computer system and due for wider release as a boxed commercial product and digital download.

Version Information

Current version is 8.1 bundled with the A600GS computer system. In 2024 it is due to be released as a separate digital download and boxed software for Commodore-Amiga and Amiga compatible systems.

Trivia

OctaMED has some famous users.

Calvin Harris used it to create his debut album, I Created Disco. During the Brit Awards 2024, Calvin Harris performed the track Miracle live on stage along side his Commodore Amiga 1200 running OctaMED.
